A Diabolical Cardboard Box

A cardboard box just my size

Over the carpet, it flies!

Zoom, zoom here and there

Zooming around everywhere!

Daddy is getting tired,

But I'm completely wired.

I'll make sure he never stops

Not until he finally drops!

 AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I scream and scream, but keep it all inside.  I've got my eyes open wide while Daddy takes me for a daredevil ride!

Around the corner and through the kitchen, almost tripping Mommy as she's baking and mixing.  Back onto the carpet, I zoom in the cardboard box.  The one Daddy's pushing just like a race car.

"Uh oh," Daddy says when we come to a wall.  He pants and puffs and puts his hands on his hips.  "Looks like we've hit a dead end."

A dead end?  What does that mean?

Don't you dare tell me that this race car ride is over!

This cutie is having way too much fun zooming and zooming all around.  I don't ever want it to stop.

I lift my arms and give him a hopeful pout.

Daddy takes a few breaths then says, "alright.  We can keep going."  He grabs onto the side of the cardboard box and beeps like a truck that's backing up.  "Beep, beep, beep, beep."

He swerves the cardboard box to make a perfect u-turn.  Then off we go!!!!

Go!!  Go!!  Go!!!!!!!

Down the hall, around the bend.  I squeal and giggle.

Let's do it again!

"Aren't... You... Getting..."  Daddy stops to heave a few more breaths.  "Tired?"

No, Daddy.  I am not!  Now, chop chop!

When he doesn't move I get ready to cry.  Okay, so maybe I'm letting out my diabolical side.

"Wah?"  I threaten.

"No!  Don't tell me you're going to cry!"  Daddy gasps, unable to handle when his baby gets that teardrop forming in her eye.  "Here!  I'll keep pushing you."

He takes off through the den to do a great big circle in the dining room.  We zoom between the obstacles and around the furniture.  WEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Let this cardboard race car fly!!!!

"Maybe... We... Should.... Take... A ..... Break...."  Daddy begs.

Oh, no you don't!

We zoom and zoom, until we hit the living room.

KER-PLOP!

What was that?

I look behind me and lying flat on the ground is Daddy panting and gasping.

"I....Can't....Go....Any.....More...."

Okay, I'll give you a one minute break.
